Don't
tear down Thomas Hall or the Baptist Temple. These buildings are part of a core of structures
that should remain forever. They are what gives TU its style and grace. Next, the university may
want to tear down Mitten Hall? Please leave the "old buildings" be. My oldest daughter is an
undergraduate student at Temple, and she too feels that there are too many cinderblock buildings
and they sure don't need any more. She, by the way, is a third generation Temple person. My
mother, Virginia Wilkinson, BS '67, Accounting and myself, RTF '69 have strong memories about
Temple. They are not about cinderblock structures but the beautiful buildings like Conwell,
Mitten and Thomas Hall. When you tear down these buildings, the university is also tearing down
memories....the memories of future generations.
