Jay Schuster
His Story
The following is an e-mail from Jay Schuster to Gerry Wilkinson....Hi Gerry, It was great hearing from you. Your letter brought back a lot of great memories. Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I don't have the internet on my computer at work and with a wife and two kids, evenings are often hectic. I looked for the picture you said was at: http://members.aol.com/WRTINorm/jaysjp 1.jpg, and couldn't get it on my computer. (That's because the correct address is http://members.aol.com/WRTINorm/jaysjp_1.jpg (It has now been moved!) It said the site doesn't exist. Is this the right address? I don't even remember the picture being taken and would love to see it. Please let me know. How did you track me down? The only thing I can think of is that I wrote into the Alumni Review when Iwas promoted to my current position. Is that how you found me? (Found you through Jerry Klein's Temple University Alumni Directory from 1990 and a search engine to find the website for your employer.) I have been to the Old Gang site. It was great seeing Jerry Klein, with whom I worked in Harrisburg in the mid '70's, Ed Cunningham (is he still or was he ever married to Ellie Menna) (Yes, they are still married) Harry Wolf and Howie Shapiro with whom I also worked in Harrisburg when he was there for the Inquirer and I was a reporter on a TV station there. I also really wanted to see that picture of the press conference of the State Welfare Sec.'s News conference in April of '73. I'm sure I was there covering it, but my computer couldn't get it when I tried. I will try again. Tell Harry and Roger that I do indeed remember the radio drama, and I still do a pretty mean Bullwinkle. (Roger Wood and Harry Wolf produced a radio script written by Gerry Wilkinson and Jay did the Bullwinkle voice.) I have lived in L.A. for 21 years and have been working at The Jewish Federation (a sort of Jewish version of the United Way) for the past 20 of them. I do some p.r., but mostly I write and edit newsletters now. In the past I have done everything from ad copywriting to producing videos there. Please given anyone who remembers me my e-mail address and give me theirs. I would love to "talk" with Harry, Ed, Roger, Howie and anyone else who remembers me. My e-mail address is: jhs@earthlink.net. Take care and see if you can get me the right address for that pic. Hope to hear from you soon. Jay
