The following is written by Gerry Wilkinson....Sometimes, being involved with this web site, you feel more like a detective than a webmaster. Well, finding Charlie Tomlinson was difficult but we found him. Jerry Klein had sent me some info about Charlie from the 1990 Alumni Directory. But it was all outdated. Sleuthing around in some search engines, I finally came up with a Charlie Tomlinson with "Main Line Today." The only problem was that it published an incorrect phone number. I called every Tomlinson in the phone book and wrote to his old address. NOTHING. Finally, I made a deduction. If you phone exchange was a valid one, I would have gotten a wrong number instead of a recording saying that it is not a valid number in area code 610. So by changing one of the first three numbers in the phone number, I was able to come up with three possibilities. One of the three got me Charlie.

Tomlinson was graduated from Temple University with a B.S. in R-T-F in 1969. Charlie's first gig after campus life was jocking at WCHE in West Chester, PA. Midway through the seventies, in 1975, he went South, but not too far. Wilmington, Delaware is where he stopped. The station was WJBR, the job was Director of Sales. After about nine years, Charlie went to the Winner Group, also in Wilmington as Director of Advertising and Marketing. In 1993, he became Director of Sales for Delaware Today magazine. Three years later in March of 1996, he also became Sales Director for the new Main Line Today magazine.

Charlie has a daughter who is 27 and had a son who died in an accident.
