His Story

The following is an e-mail from Joe Horowitz to Gerry Wilkinson

It was a very pleasant surprise getting your message. I have been out of touch for many years. I am in my 27th year with Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale (Virginia), currently as a professor of business management and coordinator of the cooperative education and internship program. NVCC is a college with 38,000 students in the suburbs of Washington, DC.

I previously served as division chair for engineering. After my BS in Communications, I came back to Temple to get a masters in public administration, then worked for a few years in college administration while completed a doctorate in higher education and management science.

My wife is a teacher in Fairfax County, I have a daughter in law school in Washington, and a son working for one of the many "beltway bandits" in the DC area (high tech government contractor).
