During the March 1999 WHYY-TV Pledge Drive

On Saturday, March 6, 1999, WHYY-TV aired "Miss Patti Page...the Singing Rage." Live in our studios were Patti herself plus Philadelphia DJ Legends from the early 50's, Joe Grady and Ed Hurst.

On Wednesday, March 10, 1999, WHYY-TV aired "Jerry Blavat Presents The Legends of Rock & Roll." The taped segments included interviews with many rock stars of the past. On the live pledge breaks, the Geator, Jerry Blavat appears with Ed-a-fonic Ed Cunningham. Special live guest, Chubby Checker.

Ed says, "Okay, Geator. Your glasses just broke, but I'll just hold them on your face until the end of the show. Trust me. No one will ever know."
