Jerry Rosset

His Story

The following is an e-mail from Mike Muderick to Gerry Wilkinson....I spoke to Jerry Rosset this morning. We have a close relationship through my work. We never knew that we each worked at WRTI. He left in June '64----I started in September. There has been reference on a page about Jean Shepard being on campus. According to Jerry,he spoke at the '64 banquet and questioned why "we continue to teach radio drama". (I'm not sure if these are Jerry's exact words.) Dr. D. was apparently not pleased with those comments and Jerry recalls that he walked out. Jerry worked with Merril Reese and Bill Cosby on sports broadcasting. He was sports director, I think. When he gets more time, he'll write his own "what I've been up to". He is currently an attorney with Blank Rome in their Media, PA office. He has two teenage daughters.

The following is an e-mail from Mike Muderick to Gerry Wilkinson....(I) Congratulate Jerry Rosset on being the MAN OF THE YEAR at our synagogue here in Wallingford. He will be honored at a dinner tomorrow night (Saturday, January 23, 1999). I'm sure Merrril Reese will be there, as they are very close. ...There are a couple of good WRTI pictures in our showcase here at the synagogue that he provided for temporary display. We do that with all our honorees. If he loans them to me, I'll try and get them scanned for you, or you borrow and return.

From Gerry Wilkinson...Mike Muderick informs us that he attended that awards dinner and Merrill Reese was, indeed, there. However, the photos are not from WRTI but from Rosset's post graduate employment.
