I find it interesting that Peter Liacouras talks about meeting in a garden. Does he have a thing for gardens? Not that gardens are not pretty or nice...
He has talked about demolishing Baptist Temple and turning it into a garden. The University is planning to demolish Wiatt Hall (1820 to 1830 North Park Avenue) to make way for a garden in August of this year. One of the arches from the 1900 addition to Thomas Hall will be removed and saved by the University for inclusion in a garden.
One other thing, the new dormitory to be built on the site of Thomas Hall and the long gone red brick houses on Broad Street that once served the Journalism and Communications Departments will have facing Peabody Hall........
You guessed it....A GARDEN!
Are they educators or gardeners? Is Temple University a major world institution of higher learning or a garden club?
